AutoOne and Brain Cancer Canada
The Corp Finance Group of Companies has always had a deep philanthropic involvement, thanks to the direction from CEO Kevin Andrews. We believe the legitimacy of business extends beyond how you run your business. It includes how your business supports and interacts with society, and the community around it. Corporate responsibility includes social responsibility, philanthropy and sustainability. We believe you can’t be part of a community without giving back to it.
AUTO|ONE Group has followed suite. Over the years we have been involved with a few events and charities. We’ve provided fun rides and donations for Drive for Smiles, an automotive fundraiser run by the Starlight Children’s Foundation as well as hosted booths and giveaways at the Father’s Day Yorkville Exotic Car Show in support of Prostate Cancer Canada.
Working with Brain Cancer Canada is AUTO|ONE’s most recent, and largest, philanthropic endeavour.
Kevin Andrews, Founder and CEO of AUTO|ONE Group is a family man. The love and loyalty he has for his family is woven throughout every aspect of his life, shaping his actions and decisions. When his younger brother, Dwayne, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, Kevin was devastated. He immediately tried to do everything in his power to find a solution, which is what connected Kevin, and AUTOONE, with Brain Cancer Canada.
“Despite receiving world class treatment and care at Sunnybrook Hospital, Dwayne died in April of 2020, 23 months after his diagnosis. With every holiday, birthday, and family milestone that passes without Dwayne present, our desire to help other patients and their families grew. We are pleased to support Brain Cancer Canada in its commitment to serve as a voice for brain cancer patients and their families, raise the profile of brain cancer across Canada, and increase funding for research and treatments of malignant brain tumours, in Dwayne’s memory.” – Kevin Andrews
Last year, AUTO|ONE Group and The Andrews Family donated $100,000 to Brain Cancer Canada, the largest one-time donation in memory of Dwayne Andrews, Kevin’s younger brother.
We are committed to continuing our support of Brain Cancer Canada for the years to come.
