4 Of The Most Exciting Cars Being Released This Winter
Winter isn’t a time that motorists normally celebrate. Aside from the ice on the road, there’s the salt they use to clear the ice, which reacts with the metal in your car to form iron oxide – or rust, more commonly. There’s the poor visibility on the roads, the tendency for windshield wipers and fluid to freeze, the annoyance of waiting for your car to heat up in the morning… you get it, the list goes on.
There are, however, some things to celebrate in the coldest months of the year, namely the new cars slated for delivery. Any one of these stunners would make a fine contender for your next car, and if you lease with AUTO ONE Group we’ll make sure you drive away with the best lease term possible. Let’s check out, month by month, which cars are due to make their grand entrance – either unveiled or in production – this winter.
The Lamborghini Urus
Lamborghini unveiled this slick, savage foray into the world of SUVs this past December, though the concept for it was rolled out five years ago at an auto show in Beijing. Hitting production in February, the Lamborghini Urus will be powered by a mighty V-12 engine and burly 641 horsepower. But what’s beast on the outside is beauty on the inside, with elegant, heated leather seats, smartphone mirroring and Apple CarPlay. Priced at roughly around 200 grand, this is at the lower end of Lamborghini’s price scale, but nevertheless promises to be a fantastic car.
The Rolls Royce Phantom
According to Rolls Royce, customer deliveries of the Phantom are expected to begin January, which is cause for celebration. With its trademark rectangular grill and “Spirit of Ecstasy” ornament, there’s no mistaking that the Phantom is a Rolls Royce, but even it has outdone itself this time in the luxury department. The interior is fit for a prince – owners can have their own personally commissioned artwork set behind glass on the dashboard – and under the hood is an impressive 563-hp twin-turbo V-12. You might be thinking this car is out of your league, but you can afford the car of your dreams if you lease with us.
The BMW M5
Further in the winter, as the snow gives way to slush and mud, expect to see the 2018 BMW M5 hit Canada, albeit beginning with limited production. Trading in the rear wheel drive of ole, BMW has switched its sport sedan over to all-wheel, and redesigned the twin-scroll turbochargers. It may not look like much of a shake-up – and, sure, it’s no earth-shattering redesign – but the new M5’s ambitious all-wheel drive (with two-wheel mode), along with a few design changes, make this worthy of anticipation.
The Jaguar F-Type
Recently released, the 2018 Jaguar F-Type pairs a sporty exterior with a luxury sensibility on the inside. Its 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine delivers a healthy 380 horsepower up front, and Jaguars newfound agility is already garnering praise from critics. Don’t expect this to be a car you’ll see everywhere here in Canada, as Jaguar’s dedicated fan base remains modest thins side of the pond, but that just means when you lease one, it’ll turn more heads. If you have any questions about sourcing a vehicle like the F-Type (or any mentioned here) you can contact us anytime and one of our passionate representatives will help you with everything.
